I don’t know about you, but sometimes it all seems too much.
When I think about all that I have to do…or want to do…or didn’t do that I should’ve done…last week!
All that it will take to accomplish it.
And not knowing how it will all work out.
How will it end?
I can get so easily discouraged and give up before I even begin.
But when I close my eyes and focus on God….
On His goodness…
On His faithfulness…
On His strength…
On His power…
On His love…
On His plan…
On His timing…
On His presence…
It ALL melts away.
And His peace is there…waiting for me…
It fills my heart.
Words of praise and thankfulness trickle out of my mouth.
I tell Him that I trust Him and that with Him I know all things are possible.
He is my rock and my refuge, after all.
He’s been there every time I’ve called.
My deliverer. My path maker.
He steadies my heart.
He shows me His glory.
That He is the way, the truth, and the light.
When I keep my eyes on Him, he makes my paths straight.
I remind myself to whom I belong and that He’s been beside me all along.
And when I open my eyes, I am newly focused.
I am stronger because I know who goes before me.
I am assured because I know that God’s plans can never be shaken.
I am confident because I know the character of God.
